"Cranes" is inspired by the Japanese tradition of origami folding and the surf culture here in Hawaii. Part of the Planes, Cranes and Sea series, it depicts a journey of two friends, the start of their friendship to the end. This piece is highlighting one of the two friends, the Cranes! The folded origami indicate their collected thoughts and will, the unfolded is ones that are yet to be formed!
